Dear AMCHAM members and friends,
Happy Easter and welcome to the 1st April 2021 issue of your AMCHAM Newsletter.
With this issue we continue our focus on the challenges of relaunching the economy. To do this, we are delighted to have the opportunity to interview Norbert Becker, who is, most probably, the most experienced and esteemed senior member of the Luxembourg business community. His virtual interview with me is clear, direct, powerful and a must read to understand the challenges we face and the strategy we must manage to ensure the future success of Luxembourg, as a country and as a society. Thank you Mr. Becker for this inciteful and clearly presented summation on where we are at, and what we need to do to stay a player on the global business stage.
Also included please find two invitations to join our partnership event presentations from New York undertaken in conjunction with our sister organization, LACCNYC. One of the beneficial consequences of this Covid crisis has been our increased reliance on doing virtual events via ZOOM rather than physical events. Not only has this kept you all safe, but it also has allowed us to deepen our partnership with our friends in New York. We are very pleased with our New York partners ( and glad they are happy with us as well!). When we all return to doing physical events we will have to sort out how we can keep this current reality of ZOOM partnering together and working. But for the moment, we are enjoying our collaboration and finding there is much benefit and common ground to be found between New York and Luxembourg!
We are pleased to report that we continue to make progress launching our member benefits club with more partners being signed up and more AMCHAM member companies enrolling their staff. We are thankful for the positive feedback we have had complimenting us on this public service initiative. If you are not enrolled, contact us so we can make that happen. And if you know good quality retailers who would benefit from promoting themselves to our members by offering exclusive AMCHAM member only discounts, please introduce them to us.
