Report by Giovanni Patrì
The American Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg’s Entrepreneur Committee Chairman, Mr. Giovanni Patrì along with the newly Entrepreneur Committee member Victoria McCarthy, recently hosted the inaugural Entrepreneur Networking Club event, which brought together a diverse group of entrepreneurs and political figures to discuss the future of the newly elected coalition government’s impact on entrepreneurship.
The event, held at prominent venue Tender Bar in Limpertsberg, proved to be an exceptional platform for entrepreneurs to engage with politicians and express their thoughts and concerns. The occasion was made even more significant thanks to the generous sponsorship of Phoenici S.A., a leading cybersecurity firm, and Giovanni Patrì & Associates S.A., a crisis management and communication firm.
Entrepreneurs from various sectors, including technology, industry, finance, and more, gathered at the event, eager to gain insights into the coalition government’s plans and to voice their opinions directly to the attending politicians. The distinguished politicians who graced the occasion were Mr. Frank Engel and Dr. Tom Weidig. They provided valuable insights into the potential impact of the new government’s policies on entrepreneurs. During the Q&A session, both politicians responded to the critical question, “And now… what will happen with the newly elected coalition government for entrepreneurs?” Their responses shed light on the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for business and attractivity of the country.
Mr. Frank Engel, founder and president of the party FOKUS (and former president of the CSV), emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and entrepreneurs. He was doubtatif about the government’s commitment to reducing regulatory barriers and capacity of providing financial incentives to encourage entrepreneurship.
Dr. Tom Weidig, a representative from the opposition party ADR and newly elected Deputy at the Chamber, provided a balanced perspective. He stressed the importance of accountability in government policies to ensure they truly benefit entrepreneurs.
The dynamic interaction between the politicians and the entrepreneurs present at the event demonstrated the importance of open dialogue between the business community and elected officials. It was evident that both sides were eager to work together to shape policies that promote economic growth and innovation.
Mr. Giovanni Patrì, who played a pivotal role in organizing this event, emphasized the importance of creating a platform for entrepreneurs to connect with politicians and engage in constructive discussions about the future of entrepreneurship in Luxembourg and it’s region. He encouraged entrepreneurs to stay engaged and vigilant, holding the government accountable for its promises.
In conclusion, the inaugural Entrepreneur Networking Club event organized by the AmCham’s Entrepreneur Committee and sponsored by Phoenici and Giovanni Patrì & Associates S.A. was a resounding success. It brought together a diverse group of entrepreneurs and politicians, paving the way for future collaborations and productive discussions. As the government continues to shape policies affecting entrepreneurs, events like these serve as essential forums for dialogue, collaboration, and growth in the entrepreneurial community. The event highlighted the potential for positive changes and the shared commitment to creating a more entrepreneur-friendly environment.
