| Sewing is an integral part of artist Mary-Audrey Ramirez’s creative techniques. Before moving on to larger works, the artist often practises “automatic sewing”, a technique based on the same principles as automatic writing, in other words a spontaneous way of creating that is not dictated by consciousness or will. |
