What documents do I need? Do I need a valid PCR test? Do I need to quarantine on arrival? Are some US States more flexible than others? Can I travel as a tourist or is it only business travel? Help!!!

As the Covid-19 crisis continues, its consequences have greatly affected travel to the US from Europe: cancelled flights, closed hotels, unauthorised travel, etc. – the pandemic has created a chaotic situation for travellers around the world.

Since we receive these questions every day at Amcham, we thought thought it might help to directly connect our members with the senior responsible expert from the Embassy to ensure the best and most current answers to all of your questions.

To this end, Amcham and our partner, LACC New York, are very pleased to announce we will be holding a live webinar on 20^th April 2021 at 5pm Luxembourg time with the US Embassy Luxembourg expert Consular Chief, Jackie H. Meeker, who will explain the most current details on US travel for business & pleasure and answer any of your questions.

Jackie H Meeker Biography

Jackie Meeker arrived in Luxembourg in June 2019 to begin her assignment as the consular chief at the U.S. Embassy. She previously served in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Islamabad, Pakistan.  Jackie joined the Foreign Service in 2014, after having worked as a chamber of commerce director, a community college program director, and an intelligence analyst (Czech linguist) in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, Vancouver, and a Master’s degree from the University of Wyoming. Jackie is joined at post by her husband, Ross, a retired U.S. Army First Sergeant. Together, they have two adult daughters and two grandchildren.
