Agilité targets €100m turnover with UK office opening and appointment of OpEx director
Leading European construction company and certified B Corp, Agilité, is marking its continued growth with the opening of a UK office and appointment of a new operational excellence director – as the company targets a turnover of €100+ million by 2027.
Providing office, retail and hospitality construction and fit-out work across the continent, Agilité has delivered projects across 12 countries since its inception in January 2018, and its expanding client portfolio includes brands such as Alo Yoga, Fred Perry, General Motors and Hogan Lovells.
With existing bases in Paris, Milan, Berlin, Brussels, Luxembourg and Madrid and a planned expansion into the US later this year, the recent opening of Agilité’s London headquarters comes as the firm aims to achieve 20 percent year-on-year growth over the next three years – with 2023 turnover having exceeded €50 million.
Agilité managing director, Neil Coales says: “Our growth across the continent has exceeded our expectations based predominantly on our repeat business relationships, and we have big ambitions for Agilité in the coming years – with the UK office a key part of that. London is still the major financial capital of Europe, and the market there is huge – not just in corporate office space, but in retail, leisure and hospitality, too. That’s why many US brands still wanting to ‘crack’ Europe will arrive in in the city first. We have already delivered over 50 UK retail, office and hospitality projects in 2023 with a significant amount being outside London”.
Tasked with establishing and delivering the operational strategy needed to meet these targets, former development director Kirsty Shearer has moved into the newly created position of operational excellence director. Under her new remit, Shearer will oversee Agilité’s HSQE and ESG commitments, bringing the growing organisation in line with its long-term vision and values, ensuring a cohesive approach to people, property and projects throughout Europe.
Based in Agilité’s rue de la Vallée office in Luxembourg city – the firm’s global centre for ESG and operational excellence – Shearer explains: “I’m looking forward to spearheading our business through its next stage of responsible growth by focusing on how we deliver projects.
“Agilité has grown from a small, Pan-European construction firm operating out of Paris, to having over 75 colleagues in seven countries, and it’s vitally important that each of us understands the purpose and principles of our business, no matter where in the world we’re from, or operating in. We’re proud of our multi-lingual, multi-cultural organisation and we need to consider that as we look at developing and implementing consistent HSQE and ESG attitudes throughout our European teams.”
Coales concludes: “Kirsty’s wealth of experience – gained from working across all major projects since the business’s inception – allied with her deep-rooted belief in Agilité’s purpose and principles, her passion for operational excellence and people-first approach, make her the ideal person to unite our global teams and lead by example as we continue our growth trajectory.”
